Cupcakes, Babies, & Snakes!

Our weekend full of fun started off with a date with one of my favorite gals in the whole wide world!!

We hit our first hot spot....

Celebrity Cafe & Bakery! mmmmmm...Cupcakes and Dr. Pepper!

Then it was off to the nail salon for manis & pedis to make us pretty for the baby shower we were attending the next day! (and so my feet would stop sounding like VELCRO sticking to my sheets.......uh-hu!! SEXY! I know!)

Then we did some shopping at Charming Charlies and of course, TARGET!

Saturday started early with a fun baby shower for Baby Adelynn who is due in about 7 weeks!! Can't wait to hold that little one! It's been a long while since I got to sniff a newborn sweet-smelling baby!! These grandmas, great-grandmas, aunts, uncles, and friends are way excited too!

Then we scooted off to Outdoor World where the Rattlesnakes were wildly slithering everywhere (in their cage) and Hallie found a new friend to campout with!A great weekend was had by all!

Honeymoon at The Cement Pond

There sure has been alot of COURTING going on over at our Cement Pond lately!

Spring is definitely in the AIR!

Meat Sundaes! mmmmmmm??

I don't even think MY sweet tooth would enjoy this?!

SO...I thought I'd see if my family's sweet teeth would enjoy it. We put the MEAT SUNDAE to the test........

My homemade heart attack in a fancy cup received:

one thumb UP and two thumbs DOWN!

Who wants a Yummy recipe?

I got this recipe from my boss at work and it is so delicious!

Corn Salad

1 can of sweet corn

1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper

1/4 cup of chopped red onion

1 cup of shredded cheese

Mix with 2 tablespoons of Mayo (I used Hellmans...because its more fattening..mmmm)

Chill for about one hour

Then stir in a baggie full of crushed Chili Cheese Fritos

SERVE and ENJOY!

Spring Is In The Air.......

at our house when.......

The little ladybugs start to peek out from behind their leaves.......

You can hear the toads plopping into the pool one by one

and "calling" each other all night long.......

Sidewalks start exploding with brilliant color......

Sweet fragrance fills the air

from all of the vibrant blooming flowers......

More and more wishes of "Hurry up summer" are blown into the air.......

Handsome dogs start bringing their leases to the porch to say, "It's time to go for a walk!"

Spring is in the air at our house, and we are ready for it!

A Busy April 1st!

After getting my "broken" kids to school....... I got the house on the market......

made some time to get to the gym.....

and sang the National Anthem at the Texas Rangers Season Opener!!

Whew! Was I tired by the end of this day!

But.....I just love April Fool's Day!
