"Where's Mom?!"

Last night, Hallie woke me up in the middle of the night in a panic......"Where's MOM?!" she frantically asked! I remember saying, "Hop in the bed and I'll go look for her!" AND I DID! Waking myself up as I'm nervously counting the members of my family and suddenly realizing...I AM MOM!

I believe this alarming "people search" at 3am was the direct result of too much....

before bed! That is some gooood stuff!

Geeez!! (BUT...I'm really not sure what she had before bed to not recognize me in the 1st place)!? ha!

They came for sure and left us with over $1300 to give to the Carter family as they fight with their 6yr old son against leukemia.

A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated baked goods, and to all of the generous people who came out to support this family by offering cash, and buying all of the great goodies!

The 3rd Annual Drive Thru Bake Sale is this Friday!This time 100% of the profits will go to Hallie's 2nd grade teacher from last year. Her son has Downs Syndrome and was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Our school, the amazing place that it is, wanted to do something to show this sweet family that we are holding them up not only in prayer, but by any way that we can. It is our hope that we will have record sales and be able to help the family out in some small way! Stay tuned for a BAKE SALE UPDATE in the upcoming days!!!

Lazy 4 Day Weekend!

The girls had a long 4 day weekend this past week....it's been pretty lazy with all the rain, but we have had fun sleeping in!! HAPPY FALL!!! So glad the cooler temps are finally here!!

The Time Has Come......

to start looking for that "perfect" costume!

"YOU BETTER GET IN HERE"!!

Could be heard coming from me 2 streets over, when I found this note in the play room.......

"You better start "splainin", I yelled!!!
Hallie said, "WHAT?!"
"What is this?" I screeched as I showed her the note that I had found.
She went on to add.........
"Riley and I were playing and I totally had to FIRE her as my secretary, so I wrote her a note to tell her."
Riley had entered by this time to see what all the commotion was about, only to start snickering at my convulsions....
She confirmed that she had indeed been "FIRED" from her secretarial duties when she did not "play correctly" and had received her "termination notice" in writing.
Hallie, looking very confused at my nutty reaction, asked, "why were you so upset"?
"Yea, why are you so upset, mom?!" Riley smirked.

As I slowly removed my hands from around her neck (not really!) & wiped the sweat from my brow......I said, "uhhh......You need to ask before you use my notepad, that's all!"

Friday was the 1st CMS Pep Rally, complete with Mascot skits and Spirit Stick Giveaways!! The sights & sounds brought my mom & I all the way back to 1985!! (Go Comanches!) Mom said, "Oh I'm so glad that I've made it to a 2nd generation of cheerleading! (Like she's 95 yrs old or something)!?
The CMS Cheerleaders did an amazing job at performing, especially the one on TOP!!

Have I ever told you that..........ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition came to North Texas in July and our family was so very fortunate to be a part of the amazing building process for this very deserving family! (haha....I've told this more than a couple of times, I'm just sure of it)!!

The Marshall Family of Lancaster, Texas will be featured on the October 18th on ABC. Look real close and you might catch a glimpse of some very beautiful landscaping! (winkwink)!

I Love The Way He........

Fourteen years ago today, I married the man of my dreams. As each day passes, I love him more than I did the last!

I love the way he:

*loves me when I make it difficult to love.

*digs in the candy bucket to find a piece of chocolate every night after dinner.

*is such a talented Landscaper.

*pulls at his eyelashes when he starts to get tired.

*teaches our girls that they can do anything a boy can do and can do it even better!

*usually only wants a sandwich for dinner.

*can't relax on Sundays and never fails to say, "I should be doing something!"

*can fix anything!

*can help Riley with her Math homework when he knows that I can't.

*loves Dr. Pepper as much as I do!

*likes to get up early and go to bed even earlier and still loves me for being the total opposite!

*has always worked so hard for us everyday, so that I could be at home with the girls as much as possible.

*heats up his ice cream in the microwave .

*loves us so much!
