Royal Watcher!

I admit it.

I'm so excited about the Royal Wedding!

I remember when I was 10 years old, my sister was 14 and we all woke up at 3 am and watched the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana back in 1981.

Here we are 30 years later and tomorrow at 3am, I will attempt to get my 10 year old and 14 year old girls up to watch the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate.

(let's be honest, I know I'll probably just DVR it!)

BUT! First, I must call the State of Texas Education Department and ask,

"WHO IN THE WORLD scheduled the 8th grade TAKS test on the same day as the ROYAL WEDDING!!!??"

For Pete's Sake!!

Don't they know that we've got some TV to watch tomorrow!!

But seriously, amidst all of the sad, horrific, unhappy news that is continually streaming into our living rooms through the TV, I am genuinely excited about the events of tomorrow!

Honestly, I think we could all use a day filled with fairy tale weddings, a handsome Prince and a beautiful Princess, gorgeous gowns, and fluffy~frilly hats of all colors & sizes.

(Personally, I will be watching just to see what that step-monster Camilla will be wearing!) So as I countdown for the big event I will continue to polish my tiara.......

and plan the Royal "TAKS" Breakfast that will be served in the morning!

MO Monday!

MO has a new friend, his name is JO.
JO is a faithful friend.
JO shows up every night, BUT only at night.JO only stands at the window when MO stands at the window.
JO only makes the moves that MO makes.

JO only barks when MO barks, and they bark WILDLY at each other.

JO looks just like MO and even wears the same collar.

MO and JO will stand and stare at each other for hours, or at least until the lights go out and JO goes home.

Personally, I think that MO is more interested in JO, than JO is interested in MO though!

If this dog eats one more sock, and then throws it up, I'm gonna scream.

Marci, who is in surgery right now getting her appendix out.

So glad my 4 day work week went well and I am off tomorrow.

Do I have anything green to wear tomorrow?

Will I get up at 5 or 5:30 tomorrow morning?

Can't wait to take MO to the vet and Abby to the groomer and CLEAN THIS HOUSE tomorrow dog and kid free!

Tomorrow is GOOD FRIDAY!

Tomorrow is EARTH DAY!

Tomorrow is WALK TO SCHOOL DAY! (we walk to school EVERY DAY!?)

What will we all wear on Easter?

Will I get my Easter cards in the mail on time?

These are just a few things on my mind this second.

Our attempt at orphan bird rescue....did not go well.Poor Benny didn't make it.

That made us all sad.

MO Monday

Mo is TWENTY WEEKS OLD!

50 lbs.

Stands taller than the kitchen counter.

AND.......

Loves to eat peanut butter & jelly sandwiches while I make the girls' lunches.

BUT......

We just might have found a little critter that likes to eat MORE than MO!

Drunk Toddlers

In the past week, I have heard on the news of TWO different restaurants that "accidently" served alcohol to a baby and got them DRUNK!

I don't know, but I just think that if I was the waitress, when I went to replace the lid on one of these.....

that would trigger something in my head that said, "SANGRIA DOES NOT GO IN HERE!"

It seems to me that people are just getting stupider by the day.

(just an observation.)

(and YES, today STUPIDER IS a word.)

Now, where is my sippy cup.

Movies, Nails, and Mystery Felines

I took the girls to see Soul Surfer after school......... Three Thumbs UP for this great, inspiring movie about NEVER GIVING UP! WOW! Then it was off to the Nail Salon AGAIN........for Riley to get these babies!! I'm getting the feeling my kids are spoiled. (I don't know, just a feeling.)

Then we came home to find this little guy, with the smooshed in, bleeding head? If we hadn't taken his picture, I would've thought that was maybe a dream because he stayed around like a split-second and then he dashed off never to be seen again? Poor little thing.

It was a Happy Monday, well I don't think his was, but we had fun!

Mo Monday!

On the menu this week:

A kickball (which was returned back to the school),

A pair of glasses (which were retrieved and repaired),

and a regurgitated kid's sock (which was thrown away!).

Cupcakes, Babies, & Snakes!

Our weekend full of fun started off with a date with one of my favorite gals in the whole wide world!!

We hit our first hot spot....

Celebrity Cafe & Bakery! mmmmmm...Cupcakes and Dr. Pepper!

Then it was off to the nail salon for manis & pedis to make us pretty for the baby shower we were attending the next day! (and so my feet would stop sounding like VELCRO sticking to my sheets.......uh-hu!! SEXY! I know!)

Then we did some shopping at Charming Charlies and of course, TARGET!

Saturday started early with a fun baby shower for Baby Adelynn who is due in about 7 weeks!! Can't wait to hold that little one! It's been a long while since I got to sniff a newborn sweet-smelling baby!! These grandmas, great-grandmas, aunts, uncles, and friends are way excited too!

Then we scooted off to Outdoor World where the Rattlesnakes were wildly slithering everywhere (in their cage) and Hallie found a new friend to campout with!A great weekend was had by all!

Honeymoon at The Cement Pond

There sure has been alot of COURTING going on over at our Cement Pond lately!

Spring is definitely in the AIR!

Meat Sundaes! mmmmmmm??

I don't even think MY sweet tooth would enjoy this?!

SO...I thought I'd see if my family's sweet teeth would enjoy it. We put the MEAT SUNDAE to the test........

My homemade heart attack in a fancy cup received:

one thumb UP and two thumbs DOWN!

Who wants a Yummy recipe?

I got this recipe from my boss at work and it is so delicious!

Corn Salad

1 can of sweet corn

1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper

1/4 cup of chopped red onion

1 cup of shredded cheese

Mix with 2 tablespoons of Mayo (I used Hellmans...because its more fattening..mmmm)

Chill for about one hour

Then stir in a baggie full of crushed Chili Cheese Fritos

SERVE and ENJOY!

It's a WHOLE BIG WASHCLOTH!

I have a feeling that we are only a few foreign objects away from a major surgery to relieve an intestinal obstruction!

Spring Is In The Air.......

at our house when.......

The little ladybugs start to peek out from behind their leaves.......

You can hear the toads plopping into the pool one by one

and "calling" each other all night long.......

Sidewalks start exploding with brilliant color......

Sweet fragrance fills the air

from all of the vibrant blooming flowers......

More and more wishes of "Hurry up summer" are blown into the air.......

Handsome dogs start bringing their leases to the porch to say, "It's time to go for a walk!"

Spring is in the air at our house, and we are ready for it!

A Busy April 1st!

After getting my "broken" kids to school....... I got the house on the market......

made some time to get to the gym.....

and sang the National Anthem at the Texas Rangers Season Opener!!

Whew! Was I tired by the end of this day!

But.....I just love April Fool's Day!
